The 1884 Sands and McDougall’s Melbourne and Suburban Directory listed Edward Doney as running a homœopathic pharmacy at 140 Elgin Street Carlton, on the south side between Canning Street and Nicholson Street. In the 1892 edition of the Directory his address was 33 Elgin Street (the same location as previously, but re-numbered).
